Art by Norman E. Masters
she is the confectioner's wife
and when he is gone
she prances naked in his kitchen
in the drippings of the glazes
and the dust of the flours
sampling herself with every pastry
reading herself into his recipes
playing with herself in his apron
a palette of fruit stains
she goes wild
in the batters
her own sugary dreams
flow readily
she is the confectioner's confection
full of candied sauces & crazy jellies
and, little does he realize
that every luscious
crueller&crumbcake&every warmmuffin,
every turnover&pie
gets it true sweet taste
from her. |
