Spider World

Art by Norman E. Masters

I wish...

  I wish

         just

now
    to press
               one

  single

         finger to

       paper

 to point

  the way

   If
  these poems are not enough
to open your eyes wide enough
to my love
 yet how then big
  can one lonely
   universe
    be?

Life affords the poet lessons

to sit write

  scratch

  the fleeting moment

      fast

      fast

                         past

Spider Poem Some times I see myself as a stupid spider working long and artfully shaping correcting my web one twine over another twine to catch thoughts to devour to make part of my web my web being a nice enough place to be then i'll see my friend the cat or a little girl who I (only seeing blue eyes) ask to sit on my web with me "Stupid spider I've torn your web to bits" Sometimes I see myself as a stupid spider over and over again making my web trying to make it big enough in the impossibility of everyone
